ABOUT ME

I made a baby, I occasionally make my husband dinner and I make stories. Some of it is real life and some of it is fiction.

 2021 is the year that I commit to writing 12 blog posts in a bid to practise my craft.  I’m starting with what I know so that’s currently mum, baby, marriage and lifestyle.  I’m not professing to know anything new on any of these subjects – let’s face it, we’re all making it up as we go along.  But I do hope to have a unique way of sharing my experiences.  A smattering of humour and most probably swearing. If you’re still not sure if this is for you here are the facts:

• I’m a proud Scot living in Wales with my actor husband and trio of furry friends (2 cats, 1 dog). 

• My son was born in August 2020 and is currently teaching me how to ‘mum’.  

• I’m a leading Sunshine Yellow with Fiery Red.

• I’m a Libra.

• I’m a loyal and loving friend, proud sister, silly auntie, disappointed daughter and a busy Key Account Manager.

Alongside the blogs I will be uploading short stories as and when they are written.  Disclaimer, it can get quite dark over there but please do browse away.  I've also set myself some writing exercises for the year in the form of character studies which I'm daring to share.

I will be shouting about the new stuff all over Instagram because that’s what people do these days, right?  Go on maternity leave and either start a business or a passion project.  I have nothing to sell so this will give me something to talk about when people ask what I did with my maternity leave. 

Because "raised a baby" is never the answer to that question.
